How to Clean a Toilet
Cleaning a toilet is not the most
glamorous task in the world; nor do any of us look forward
to it, nonetheless, it has to be done.
One home method in cleaning a toilet is
to use vinegar.
It not only gets rid of mold, but it
keeps the toilet smelling fresh as well. In addition, you
don't have to worry about using harsh chemicals containing
toxins that may be dangerous to you, your family, or your
pets.
All it takes is one part vinegar to one
part water.
Clean around the circumfrance of the toilet and the cover
and seat, too.
To clean the inside of the toilet,
first flush the toilet and then add the same solution of
vinegar and water. Pour it into the toilet. Using a brush,
clean the inside of the toilet and then flush
again.
Or, if you prefer, just pour the
vinegar into the bowl (after the first flush) and clean.
You’ll need rubber gloves, paper
towels, and a mask (if the bathroom has no
ventilation).
If it does, turn on the air vent just in case you or anyone
in your family is allergic to vinegar.
It is also recommended that you change
seat covers once a year. The reason for this is
that if there is a crack in the seat or the cover for that
matter, it is a perfect venue for mold to form.
If you clean the toilet frequently, it
can be easily maintained each month with a simply wipe
down.
