How to Clean a Fridge
Cleaning the refrigerator is a
time-consuming process, but a necessary one.
Moreover, it gives you a chance to get
rid of items that have been in the back of the shelves for
ages. Well,
there is no time like the present; so let’s
begin.
1.
Have a few trash bags at the ready. You will need to separate
bottles, cans, and plastic. This will save time when
you have to place the items into separate garbage
cans.
2.
Turn off the temperature inside the fridge. Fill the kitchen sink with
warm water and dish washer soap.
3.
Remove every item inside the fridge. Check each item for
expiration date, spoilage, and Yuck! mold. Put these items into the
trash bags.
Place the rest of the items on the kitchen table or counter,
so that you can make a list of what needs to be
replaced.
4.
Remove the shelves and drawers. Place the shelves into the
sink and the drawers on top. Spritz a bit of dish
washer soap into the shelves and let warm water fill them
half way. Let
them soak.
5.
Use warm water and soap to clean the inside of the
fridge. Utilize
a clean cloth.
Take another clean cloth and warm water to rinse the inside
of the fridge.
6.
Clean the side door compartments, the empty shelving space,
and the bottom of the fridge as well. While you’re at it, remove
the drip dray and clean that as well. Don’t forget the top of
the fridge and the outer door.
7.
Now you can clean the drawers and the shelves that have been
soaking in the sink. Dry them thoroughly and
place them back in the fridge. Put the drip tray
back.
8.
Turn on the temperature.
9.
Before placing the items back into the fridge, use a damp
cloth to clean bottles, cans, plastics, and
jars.
10.
Place a few open boxes of baking soda toward the back of
each shelf.
This will contain any odor.
You’re done! Now, that wasn’t so bad,
was it?
